This gentle workshop explores how the nervous system moves through different states of stress, safety, and shutdown, and how these influence how we feel and respond.
Drawing on insights from polyvagal theory and somatic practices, we will look at three common patterns:
- Connection – feeling safe and able to engage
- Mobilisation – stress, urgency, or anxiety
- Withdrawal – shutdown or disconnection
In this workshop you will explore
• grounding and orienting practices
• breath and self-soothing techniques
• gentle eye movements and somatic shaking to release tension
• simple crossing-the-midline movements to support integration
